Burger King & Popeyes Restaurant Sites

Seven quick-service restaurant sites for Burger King and Popeyes, including the first Popeyes to open in New Zealand. Each one needed the full civil scope, from a cleared site through to a finished carpark and drive-through.

Contaminated soil on site meant earthworks had to include removal and disposal alongside the bulk cut, rather than simply moving material.

As civil subcontractor to head contractor Cheema Contracting Group, we carried the whole civil package on every site: site clearance, bulk earthworks, contaminated soil removal, service trenching and retaining.

We then built the concrete and asphalt carparks and drive-throughs, so the same crew that formed the ground also delivered the finished surfaces.

Seven restaurant sites delivered under one civil subcontract, including New Zealand’s first Popeyes.

Holding the full scope meant the head contractor had one civil contractor to coordinate from clearance to final surfacing, on every site.
