Finished timber retaining wall on a residential property

For homeowners & landowners

Retaining, slip repair and ground you can rely on.

If your section is slipping, unusable or about to be built on, we'll tell you plainly what it needs - and then do it properly.

What to expect

Straightforward people, doing serious work.

  • We explain it in plain terms

No jargon. We'll walk you through what your site needs and why, so you can make a decision you understand.

  • We handle engineers and council

We can manage all engineer and council coordination on your behalf, including lodging the consent, so the work is designed properly and signs off cleanly.

  • A licensed builder on site

Our director is a licensed building practitioner and is on site. You are not handed to a subcontractor you never meet.

  • We tidy up after ourselves

Your property is somewhere you live. We keep the site safe and leave it in a state you would expect.

Common questions

The things people ask us first.

How much does a retaining wall cost?
It depends on height, length, ground conditions and access - those four things drive most of the cost. We will give you a clear written price after seeing the site.
Do I need council consent for a retaining wall?
Generally, retaining walls over 1.5 metres, or walls carrying additional load such as a driveway above them, require building consent. We will advise you if a consent is required, and can assist you with engineer coordination and obtaining appropriate consents.
My property has had a slip. What should I do first?
Keep people away from the affected ground and call us for a site visit. An early look on site usually clarifies the scope faster than another report, and we can work alongside your insurer and engineer from there.
